Service First’s DUI Program

In June of 2012, the California State Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs licensed Service First to establish Driving Under the Influence programs. Our DUI program is conveniently held in English and Spanish. In addition, in November of 2010, Service First contracted with the County and State to provide Treatment Services for Parole and the Probation Re-Entry Programs, High Violent Offenders, AB109- Post Release, LCS, and DUI Programs. The curriculum provided is directed at keeping the recidivism rate down, while assisting the clients with such things as housing, education, retraining, and assimilating back into society.

TWELVE-(12) HOUR WET & RECKLESS

(EDUCATION COMPONENT)

Program includes twelve-(12) hours of education to:

  1. Encourage individuals to identify and resolve alcohol and/or drug related problems and behavior.
  2. Support positive changes in lifestyle
  3. Protect the public health and safety upon the highways.

THREE-(3) MONTH PROGRAM

First-Offender DUI Program (FOP), includes:

  1. Minimum of fifteen-(15) weeks.
  2. Consists of sixteen-(16) hours educational sessions.
  3. Fourteen-(14) hours of group counseling sessions.
  4. Minimum of three-(3) face-to-face interviews, in order to:
    · Encourage individuals to identify and resolve alcohol and/or drug related problems and behaviors:
    · Support positive changes in lifestyle: and
    · Protect the public health and safety upon the highways.

SIX-(6) MONTH PROGRAM

First-Offender DUI Program (FOP), includes:

  1. Minimum of twenty-four-(24) weeks.
  2. Consists of a minimum of sixteen-(16) hours educational sessions.
  3. Minimum of twenty-eight-(28) hours group counseling sessions.
  4. Minimum of four-(4) face-to-face interviews as required in Title 9, Section 9851 inn order to:
    · Encourage individuals to identify and resolve alcohol and/or drug related problems and behaviors.
    · Support positive changes in lifestyle.
    · Protect the public health and safety upon the highways.

NINE-(9) MONTH PROGRAM

First-Offender DUI Program, (FOP), includes:

  1. Minimum of nine-(9) months, consisting of a minimum of sixteen-(16) hours educational sessions.
  2. Minimum of forty-four-(44) hours group counseling sessions.
  3. Minimum of six-(6) face-to-face interviews, as required in Title 9, Section 9851, in order to :
    · Encourage individuals to identify and resolve alcohol and/or drug related problems and behaviors.
    · Support positive changes in lifestyle.
    · Protect the public health and safety upon the highways.

EIGHTEEN-(18) MONTH PROGRAM

Multiple-Offender DUI Program consists of:

  1. A core program phase during the first twelve-(12) months of participation with a community re-entry phase during the last six-(6) months of program participation.
  2. The first twelve-(12) month, core phase, includes twelve-(12) hours of alcohol and/or drug related educational sessions.
  3. A minimum of fifty-two-(52) hours group counseling sessions.
  4. A minimum of twenty-four-(24) face-to-face interviews, in order to:
    · Encourage individuals to identify and resolve alcohol and/or drug related problems and behaviors.
    · Support positive changes in lifestyle.
    · Protect the public health and safety upon the highways.

During the last six-(6) months of the eighteen-(18) month multiple-offender program: The participant shall be required to complete the community re-entry phase, consisting of participation in self-help groups, employment, and other areas of self-improvement. Throughout this community re-entry phase, the participant’s progress shall be monitored, but for no more than six-(6) hours of monitoring.

THIRTY-(30) MONTH PROGRAM

Service First offers the only program in San Joaquin Valley

Habitual-Offender DUI Program consists of:

  1. A core program phase during the first eighteen-(18) months of participation with a community service activities phase during the last twelve-(12) months of program participation.
  2. The first eighteen-(18) month, core phase, includes twelve-(12) hours of alcohol and/or drug related educational sessions,
  3. A minimum of seventy-eight-(78) hours group counseling sessions.
  4. A minimum of thirty-nine-(39) face-to-face interviews, in order to:
    · Encourage individuals to identify and resolve alcohol and/or drug related problems and behaviors.
    · Support positive changes in lifestyle.
    · Protect the public health and safety upon the highways.
  5. During the last twelve-(12) months of the thirty-(30) month multiple-offender program, the participant shall be required to complete a monitored, community service activities phase
  6. Attend one-(1) Service First DUI Program support group per month.

Services Provided to: DUI/DWI/Wet & Reckless offenders.
Payment Services: Payments determined by program requirements and sliding scale available.
Testing Services: Random UA and breathalyzer testing done on-site.
